Raiders owner Mark Davis announced on Friday that former team president Dan Ventrelle had left the team.
“Dan Ventrell is no longer a member of the Raiders club,” Davis said. “We have no further comment at this time.”
Ventrell has been named the new team president following the resignation of his predecessor, Marc Badain. He previously served as executive vice chairman and legal counsel for the Raiders for 18 years.
Ventrell later said in an interview that the reason for his sudden departure from the team was related to Davis.
“I take my responsibilities seriously, so when multiple employees complained about my boss, Mark, for deteriorating work conditions and other questionable behavior, I was concerned about those issues. When I confronted Mark, he was dismissive and didn’t Showed seriousness. I therefore informed the NFL of these issues and Mark’s attitude.”
